startedoffexploringthetwomalls(gurneyplazaandparagon),butithonestlyjustfeltlikenormalSGmallswithsimilarprices.stoppedbygigi’scoffeeingurneyplaza’sbasement—relativelycheapcoffeewithalargeamountanditwasquitetasty!wethenheadedovertogurneyhawkercentretogetourdinnerfix.bynowourstomachswerequiteemptyandwewerereadytodevourthefoodthatpenanghadtooffer!
wetriedtheassamlaksa,indianrojakandcharkwayteow(whichwaspersonallymyfavourite).wasn’tabigfanoftheassamlaksaasitwasabittoosourandfishy.theindianrojakwasprettyyummybutimisunderstoodmymomasshetoldmethattheFRUITROJAKtherewasthespecialtyofgurneyhawker◠̈thecharkwayteowwasreallyyummythough,superworththetry!!wewantedtogotobatuferringhi’snightmarketafterbutgottootired.fortheadventurous,it’dbegoodtosqueezeinthenightmarketafteryourmealhere!!

wokeupearliertogetthefamousroticanaiattransferroadandWOWwasitdelicious—thechickenwassupersoftandtenderandthesoakedroticanaiwasamazing.itkeptusreallyfulltill3pmtbh,ineverknewonesliceofpratacouldfillmeupthatmuch.
headedovertopenanghillafter,wherewehadtowaitanhourtotakethefurnicularupanddown.ifyou’reinarushfortime,dogettheexpresslane(RM80forroundtrip)insteadofthenormal(RM30roundtrip).theweatheruptopwasreallycooling,almostlikeaminigenting.wewenttovisitthehabitat(RM60entrancefee)whichwasanexclusiveareainpenanghillwhereyoucouldseethescenaryfromabirdeyeview.ifyou’relookingtogotothehabitatcafe,itisattheendofthehabitattrail(whichneedstheentrancefee).Howeverifyoujustwishtovisitthecafe,youcouldwalkabout1.6kmtotheexitofthehabitattrailanddineatthecafewithouttheentrancefee!
weleftpenanghillabout3pmandheadedovertothesundaypopupmarket(closesat5pm).itwasaverylivelyfleamarketwithperformances,manypopupcafeandfoodboothsandwasalsofilledwithartsandcrafts!gotapairofhandmadeearringshereandalsoenjoyedminisnacksbeforedinner.
